If you are living in the Karoo area, you HAVE TO, register as interested or affected party.
This is extremely important, as without being registered, your comments, views, etc, do not really carry a lot of weight. The reason the public participation program is there, is for us to make our voices heard, and the only way we can do this is by registering.
Go to :

Then click on "general registration and comment sheet"(on the left side), print that, fill it our and post or email it back to the address on the form.

No Fracking in the Karoo
Hi all,
This is the first post of hopefully many. The aim of this blog is to create an action network to oppose the planned Hydraulic Fracturing (Fracking) in the Karoo.
We have to unify everyone opposed to this in one group, so that we have a solid foot to stand on, and we have to do it ASAP.
A lot of people have done research on the subject of Fracking, and I feel everyone has some info to contribute. Therefore, we should share as much of what we know, so that we can expand our knowledge base.
I have posted some of the useful links I have found, please send me whatever else you have that can help our cause, as well as any other info, such as PDF’s, Letters, PPT’s, etc.
I am EXTREMELY concerned about the proposed drilling, the more I think about it, the more I am getting worried. We have to mobilize and act decisively and effectively, before it is too late, as we all stand to lose a great deal, if we don’t.
